Addition of popular social media sites to Picture Mail service makes it easy for Sprint customers to use the speed of the Now Network(TM) to instantly share holiday moments
OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Nov 24, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Just in time for the holidays and all the photo-friendly activities that come with the season, Sprint (NYSE: S) and VeriSign Messaging and Mobile Media, a division of VeriSign, Inc. (NASDAQ: VRSN), announced today an enhancement to Sprint(R) Picture Mail that allows Sprint customers to send digital photos and videos straight from their phones to popular social media sites, including MySpace, Photobucket and YouTube.
It's as easy as snapping a picture of the family at Thanksgiving dinner, during the holiday pageant, enjoying the winter weather, or any other occasion using a Sprint phone. The photo can then be uploaded directly to the customer's MySpace, Photobucket or YouTube account from just about anywhere so family and friends can view it online anytime.

The Picture Mail enhancement uses the VeriSign(R) Xoomerang platform to provide uploads from the user's Sprint phone to a variety of social media sites. Designed to satisfy the fast-growing number of mobile consumers who use online social networking and social media destinations, Xoomerang is a mobile media enablement solution that allows users to view and publish videos and pictures onto various online destinations through easy-to-use interfaces. With Xoomerang, Sprint Picture Mail subscribers can easily capture and publish videos and pictures to some of their favorite destinations.
