According to Apptism’s iPhone app tracker there are now 20,274 apps available to choose from. On January 16th, Apple officially announced that they crossed the 15,000 app and 500 million downloads mark. Again on November 30th, 2008 seemed to be the day that we crossed the 10,000 marker… so the number could be accurate.
Considering the App Store only opened with a few hundred apps, it has come a long way. Not long ago (Jan. 16th) Apple passed over the 15,000 app mark. Now that the 20,000 mark has been hit, 30,000 surely can’t be that far away. Check out the graph below that charts App Store App Growth since launch.
